The digital photography group meets on the first Thursday of every month during term time at 3 p.m. at Carterton Community College  Upavon Way Carterton, OX18 1BU. Arrangements are in hand to meet at Mike Moores during the school holidays for up to 10 members if they want to continue their exciting journey through the world of digital photography.

Mike and myself are not teachers but organise the sessions with the rest of the group. Although we do not give formalised training we try to cover topics across the whole range covering choice and use of cameras, composition and editing using computers.

Complete beginners are welcome to come along for a taster session in a friendly,no pressure environment using the college facilities.

The more experienced members help with newcomers and we often learn new things ourselves by helping others, this is U3A principles in practice, “the teachers learn and the learners teach”

We divide the sessions into three sections:-

1) Looking into cameras and equipment

2)  Taking digital photos.

3)   Manipulating photos with computer programmes.

Just give Martin a ring on 01993 845169 if you would like to come along to try your hand.
