Future Program to be advised

On a warm sunny May 11th twelve members of the gardening group visited the wonderful Abbey House Gardens at Malmesbury, Nr Cirencester. The famous tulips were mainly over, however, the clematis, roses, poppies, peonies and many other unusual perennial plants were blooming very early. In the woodland garden the many varieties and shades of the acer tress was stunning. We enjoyed coffee watching the huge kopi fish in the raised pool, returning to the cars via visiting the beautiful abbey itself.
Our next visit is on 9th June to Coughton Court NT property to see the rose gardens.

Gardening Group News
On a warm sunny April day eight members of the gardening group enjoyed a visit to Blenheim. Walking past the ornamental formal gardens we followed the lakeside footpath to the cascade enjoying the violets, daffodils, cowslips and many other spring plants, especially enjoying the birdsongs and new shoots on all the trees. Following the footpath we made our way through the beautiful parkland, recently mown, to the secret garden which was abundant with flowering shrubs and spring flowers. After tea and huge slices of cake!! We visited the butterfly house and pleasure gardens.
